I used to be a pretty hairy lady!  Excessively hairy, to tell you the truth and I'm no longer embarrassed to admit that.  I was embarrassed to go to the beach or the pool for a long time, but my life changed thanks to some amazing new advances in home hair removal technology.

I wrote a Silk'n SensEpil review recently that documented my experience using this product to get rid of some extra hair.  It has been getting more traffic as the device grows ever more popular, and the common question on everybody's mind is, "Does the Silk'n SensEpil Really Work?"  Well, here's what I have to say on this matter.

What Do You Mean By "Work"?

When people want to know whether or not this product works, they typically want to know a number of things:

  • Does the Silk'n SensEpil remove hair permanently?
  • Does it do so without hurting the user?
  • Can I do it easily in the comfort of my own home?
  • Is it safe?

The answer to all 4 questions is a strong YES!  I stopped using the SensEpil months ago, and I have absolutely no sign of hair coming back in.  The treatments I gave myself were very easy, completely safe, and didn't hurt a bit.

But How Can This Be?

The Silk'n SensEpil uses a technology called Home Pulse Light (HPL).  It's very much like the kind of equipment they use in a doctor's office or salon to blast your hair away with a laser, but uses HPL instead of a diode laser.  It works in very much the same way: the light targets the hair and sends a beam of light down the shaft into the root of the follicle, damaging it, and ultimately, after several months of use, destroying the hair COMPLETELY!

This might sound a little frightening, but it is completely safe and one of only two devices of this type that are FDA approved.  The technology has gone with very rigorous and stringent testing, so you can rest assured that you're not putting your health on the line by using this device.

And You Said It's Painless?

The HPL is very specific in how it targets your hair, and not the skin it's growing out of.  Most users liken it to being snapped lightly with an elastic band, with a little bit of heat.  It's not painful, and anyone who is used to shaving or tweezing for find it magnitudes more comfortable.  There are even adjustable intensity settings, so you can make sure you're never beyond your comfort threshold.

The downside to the hair targeting properties of the HPL is that it doesn't work for every skin type.  Fortunately, the device will do a quick test before each use to make sure it will be safe and effective.  If not, the unit won't function.

If you're at all worried that the SensEpil may not work for you, I recommend acting quickly on the 30-day trial offer they're currently offering (which also includes $150 off if you end up buying it).  If it turns out the unit isn't going to work, you can send it back and lose nothing.  This is also good for anyone considering it all.

Easier Than Tying Your Shoes

The Silk'n has a handheld applicator unit wired to a base unit.  It's a pretty convenient design, and ACTUALLY USING IT IS INCREDIBLY SIMPLE!  You just put it up against your skin, press the button and it flashes a very bright light against your skin.  (It's pretty bright, so I recommend looking away when you do it.)  Then, you simply repeat this process in rows, covering the skin you want to treat.

I previously used the Tria to remove hair on my legs, and I must say that one of the biggest advantages the Silk'n SensEpil has over that unit is that its light is much, much bigger than the Tria's laser.  It's about SIX TIMES bigger, which means you get the job done about SIX TIMES faster!  My arms only took 10 minutes, while my legs used to take an hour with the Tria.

Results Much Quicker Than Expected

If you want to know my exact, week by week progress with the unit, I suggest you go check out my Silk'n SensEpil review, but I will tell you here that the results were fast.  The instructions recommend using it 4 times every 2 weeks to start.  I didn't expect to see results very quickly, but by the end of the first 2 weeks, my hair had already been reduced by about 40%!

I should mention again that they're currently running a 30-day trial offer, so it's a good idea to try it while that's still available.  Like I said, if you follow instructions, you will definitely see very striking results well within this time frame.  I'm actually on the harrier end of the spectrum, so you may well see results even faster than I did!

So How Do I Get This Thing?

The absolutely best way to get the Silk'n SensEpil is through their official website.  It's the only way to claim the 30-day trial offer I mentioned, which means you'll pay nothing if you end up not being satisfied with the unit.  They're also currently offering $150 off, so if you do decide to buy (and if you use it as directed, I'm sure you will), you can get the unit for only $349 instead of the normal $499.  This is about what you'd pay for just trip to a laser hair removal clinic, and you need a long series of them to get the results you can get at home with the SensEpil.

If you've been asking, "Does Silk'n SensEpil Really Work?I'd have to tell you that the answer is demonstrably YES.  If you want more information about my first hand experience, check out my Silk'n SensEpil review, and if you're ready to try one, go to the official SensEpil website.
